Rhapsody Promotes Awareness of Macmillan Nurses
May 2009
Radio Heatherwood is pleased to promote the work of Macmillan Nurses.
The national campaign by Macmillan cancer support aims to increase
awareness of Macmillan as an organization and to let people who need
help, know how they can get support.
The first phase of the UK-wide campaign (running from 1 October – 30
November 2008) resulted in over 7,000 people affected by cancer
Macmillan for support. 69% of these callers had never been in touch with
Macmillan before.
To continue to raise awareness of who Macmillan are and how they can
help and to encourage even more people to use their services, they are
re-running the campaign using national print and broadcast media until
the end of June 2009.
Radio Heatherwood's rhapsody service, will be carrying the promotions
throughout it's 24 hour service.
Stay Tuned
March 2009
The staff of ward 1G were beneficiaries of a brand new digital push button
radio recently.
When
there ward radio suffered from years of abuse, ( and that was just from the
radio staff ) listening to the radio service, it was time for a
replacement. After the request for help was received the radio staff sprung
into action to ensure the ward radio for patients and staff was replaced in
no time at all.
Tuned to their favourite radio station, the staff sent us there thanks
along with a few more requests. Thanks Ladies
Happy New Year
