CALLING ALL OSTOMATES, COLOSTOMATES, ILEAOSTOMATES AND UROSTOMATES.
Do you have a stoma? Do you know anyone with a stoma, apart from the
contacts you made while in hospital? You may be a colostomate, an
ileostomate, or a urostomate.
You may feel isolated, that you haven't got anyone to talk to who could
possibly understand the way you feel, or you may just want to meet other
people who are in the same position.
Did you know that there is now an informal gathering where you can meet
with other Ostomates? Come along and meet others who have been in a
similar situation, but now have experience of living with a stoma.
Martins Heron Community centre is easy to get to. It is by the Tesco
supermarket so there is plenty of parking and of course, is less than 5
minutes walking distance from Martins Heron railway station.
The afternoon is free, informal and friendly -just pop in and join us on
any Monday afternoon. You can stay for as long as you like and leave
when-ever you like !
We talk about everything!! Politics, gardening, theatre, the latest TV
soaps -everything that is of interest plus, of course, a chance to ask
questions to someone "who knows how you feel".
Martins Heron Community Hall is in the Tesco car park at Martins Heron
(which means plenty of parking spaces) and is a short walk from the train
station if you are coming from Ascot or Wokingham .
If you need to find out more please call me. I would love to hear from you
and to welcome you in person to the group meeting.
If you need any further information please call me on 01344 426652 Jackie
